Ms. Walton hired Moshe Safdie, who has designed buildings domestically and internationally from Canada to Jerusalem, Singapore and mainland China, hoping to house the pieces she collected in a museum that matches their beauty. The result? A stunning complex of buildings surrounding a spring fed water area surrounded by native trees and the Ozark Mountains. Perhaps not since Fallingwater in 1935 has an architect married nature to man that inhabits it and the art within so beautifully.

The glass/wood/concrete structures cover some 217,000 square feet and include galleries, meeting areas, library, restaurant and gift shop and outdoor areas for concerts plus almost 4 miles of hiking trails.

Visit Alice Walton’s Crystal Bridge Museum in Bentonville, Arkansas. Admission is free for the main galleries or a small fee for the traveling collection.

At realestatedisplayed.com, we pride ourselves on bringing real estate photography to the masses-- where they live, work and play. With Smartphone sales now accounting for an estimated 75% of cell phone purchases, our iPhone compatible virtual tours are clearly right on the money, but now, we're proud to announce an advancement in technology that makes it even easier for people to view your home for sale!

By simply downloading one of several free apps available for iPhones, Androids and Blackberries alike, your smartphone becomes a bar code reader. This bar code, called a QR code, takes anyone with a smartphone and one of these free apps directly to a webpage NO URL REQUIRED! That's right. No more tap tap tapping on a touch screen or tiny keypad for you OR perspective buyers.

While we will continue to provide unique URLs for sign riders on each and every virtual tour, smartphone users will now find that real estate photography at realestatedisplayed is only a click away.

Not sure about this technology? We have two samples for experimentation from your smartphone. The first image (above) takes viewers to our home page while the second image (below) takes you to the Timberwolfe virtual tour. Give it a try!

Prior to the internet, when planning a trip, ordering parts, or looking for something not stocked in local stores, people-- the businessman or the consumer-- referred to printed catalogs or the advise of a customer service agent. The success of the mission, whatever it was, was at the mercy of those supplying the information.

Fast forward a generation. The internet is born. A library is brought to your fingertips and suddenly, you are in control. Printed catalogs and customer service agents, while still available, become a last resort.

Today, you can find anything and everything on the internet, and roles are reversed. The question becomes "How do I, as a seller, market my goods and services effectively?" "What can I do to set my products apart?"

Today, in the world of short attention spans and instant gratification, you distinguish your product graphically with distinctive imagery that sets your product apart from others. Striking photographs have long been a part of traditional media but now is crucial in the digital age. It doesn’t matter what kind of product or service you offer. Photographs that convey the essence of your product to customers are of great value in stimulating demand. Realestatedisplayed provides photographic images to the architectural, construction, real estate, and hospitality industries.

Below are two photographs of the same structure. Both are nice images but one of them sings and grabs viewer’s attention.

In the third quarter of 2010, the housing market in North Texas continues to be sluggish. Average days on market hovers around 90 days, sold price versus asking price averaging about 96 percent which is much stronger that in some parts of the country. In this sluggish housing economy how does a home or property owner best market, best present their home for sale?

1. Attract potential buyers with large professional images. Photographs must be well composed, properly exposed and edited to best tell the story of the home.

2. De-clutter and straighten rooms and areas to optimize photographic images. Viewers need to find the space appealing and not be distracted by miscellaneous items in the images. Remove personalized items such as family photos, trophies, awards, trash/waste containers and especially magnets and photos on the refrigerator.

3. Secure all valuables and medications.

4. If you are already packing to move, store boxes off the premises if possible. Stacked boxes imply to buyers that you lack adequate storage and spaces are small. You want to convey that your home has plenty of space and boxes do not appear in images of your property. Buyers need to view the space, not boxes.

5. Be sure all light bulbs are working. If lights are not working buyers may perceive something is wrong with the lighting fixture, and wonder what larger home repairs you may have neglected. Plus the brighter the rooms, the better.

6. Kitchens are the heart of most homes. An inviting kitchen goes a long way to selling a home. The fewer items on the countertops, the more spacious and appealing the kitchen becomes. For most home virtual tours, we make every effort to compose images that highlight the kitchen cabinetry, countertops, islands, ovens or stoves.

7. Store away all pet care items, food bowls, toys and litter boxes. Buyers may be turned off by these items or may have allergies. Secure pets in their kennel.

8. Dining tables should have place settings, china, napkins, etc…as if a party is about to begin.

  9. Remove all toiletries and personal items from bathroom vanities, tubs and showers. Leave exposed only plants, towels or neutral decorative items.

10. Place toilet lids down.

11. Pick up and store kid’s toys.

12. Remove water hoses and trash bends from the front exterior.

13 Uncover outdoor pools and barbeque grills…make the outdoors photographically inviting.

14. Close garage doors and remove all vehicles.

Real estate photography allows buyers to view your home wherever they are. In a buyer's market, real estate photography and virtual tours present your home to the widest possible market, in the best possible light. Just think-- buyers can tour your home after putting the kids to bed, waiting for takeout, on a train ride to work, or from their cell phone!
